Biblical Womanhood

An album in progress. Songs about the women of the Bible: the ones whose names we know, the ones history forgot to write down, and the choices they made when the world gave them very few options.

Track 1 · Eshet Chayil

Woman of valor. They handed us a softer word, but chayil was the word for armies. Huldah, Miriam, Abigail, Ruth, Tamar, Phoebe, Priscilla, Junia, and Wisdom herself, standing at the gate.
